Bondurant Enterprises, Inc. (BEI) was established in 1962 by Bill Bondurant, an Inventory Business Entrepreneur, with an idea to build a business that provided organizations with services that were essential to their business’ success – Inventory, Asset Reporting and Control.  Bill’s ideas were successful and the name Bondurant Inventory Service (BIS) was the initial organizational focus and name.  In the early 80’s, BEI expanded into the bar code business, which was a natural extension to BEI’s initial business focus and where the asset industry was heading.  Therefore, in April 1984 ProBar was established as the second entity under the BEI logo.  ProBar serves as the automated solution division of Bondurant Enterprises.  In 2001 ProBar increased it’s solution options to provide Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) services.  By becoming a certified Axcess partner ProBar has the added capability to enhance control through integrated RFID solutions making us the most complete inventory and logistics firm in the Washington metro area.  To this day, BIS and ProBar share corporate offices, and work hand in hand on Information Technology (IT) and Asset Inventory Control (AIC) projects.
